My Story Stones is owned and run by South Coast artist, Beth Doll.

Beth works mainly from her home-based workshop, but also has a small studio on the seafront in Worthing, West Sussex where much of her work is on display and available for sale. Why not visit Studio 37?

Other local shops, such as The Gallery at Cobblestone Walk in Steyning, West Sussex also stock Beth’s Story Stones.

An established artist for many years, Beth has worked in design, and specifically in ceramics, for the past five years.
Each of Beth’s products is handcrafted with great care and attention to detail, ensuring each is both unique and of the finest quality.

How are they made?

The Story Stones are made from tumbled marble and are approximately 3cm square. Each is individually hand painted with a colour wash to create a neutral base, and then heat sealed. The illustrations (hand drawn by Beth for the Story Stone range exclusively) are then screen printed onto the Stones, before glazing to enhance and protect the colour images. Finally the Story Stones are given a coloured felt backing to finish them.

There are 48 standard Story Stones for you to choose from but other specialised designs are constantly being created, such as our Indian set – made for the local charitable organisation for use in educational projects in India.
